Fear for tomorrow tells God that we don't trust him to care for us. Let God know that you trust that he is big enough to handle anything.

Parenting out of guilt will only hurt our kids. Forgive yourself for yesterday's mistakes and seize today.

Be the secure place that your children need. Be honest with them, but focus on the positive. Let them know that though people may fail them, God will never abandon them.

Living in anger poisons us and our relationships. Forgive your self and others, allowing God to be in charge of justice.

You cannot change anyone else's behavior. You control only your own. You are responsible only for as much as it depends on you.

If you're married, make the effort to include singles, but not as a project. They're not broken, but often ignored. 

Being single does not mean that you are alone--God placed you in community. Churches aren't perfect, and they tend to overlook singles, but don't let that keep you from becoming a full participant in your congregation.

Marriage is not the goal to which singles aspire. Singles are not incomplete without a spouse. God calls each of us to service and fellowship in his kingdom.

Focusing our energies on what God has chosen NOT to give us will leave us frustrated. Celebrate the blessings that God has given you today! 

In a culture focused on families, singles may seem unimportant. But people who happen to be single are also quite gifted. Singleness is not a curse, but a calling from God.
